Friday, June 12th, I closed on a house that will become my home AND the new home of Enfield Energy Emporium! It is at 78 Main Street, Enfield — just a few doors down from the current location of the store.
It is just a shell of a building so we have a lot of work to do. We’d like to make this a showpiece for energy efficiency. We will be in the planning stage for a while as we evaluate heating/cooling systems, hot water, insulation, windows, roofing, etc. I will blog thoughts and progress as we go.
We’ll need ideas on landscaping. This house is on the Mascoma River and includes a small island where the Leviston Tannery was in business back in the late 1800’s.
More pictures and blogs to come… Please feel free to add your comments and ideas!
